GgygazxEralfast influences, inspiration, and credits.
Eralfast is dedicated to the memory of Gary Gygax.

Readers will no doubt find many references herein that are based upon classic D&D motifs and other famous literature. Eralfast hopes to pay homage in providing a ‘classic fantasy world’ that should be familiar to old school roleplayers and fans of J.R.R. Tolkien. Liberal use of Greek and Norse (and other) mythology also will be found in Eralfast. The scribe does not apologize for including ideas, names and histories gleaned from other sources. (Specific credit will be noted when deemed appropriate.) To most readers such use will be obvious (such as the use of classic monsters and items, the tales of Vecna, and Drow references).

This note is intended to give credit where credit is due. Eralfast would not have existed without the pioneering work of Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson. We are also indebted to Dame Edith Hamilton, Professor Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Stephan King, J.K. Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Stan Lee, Charlaine Harris, Edgar Allen Poe, Anne Rice, Bob Kane, Joseph Campbell, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Frank Miller, Sir Conan Doyle, Robert Heinlein, Sir James George Frazer, and countless others; (and a special nod to filmakers Wolfgang Petersen, Ridley Scott, Zack Snyder, Rod Serling, Peter Jackson, Guillermo Del Toro, George Lucas and Gene Roddenberry.)

Thank you to Tom D. Flock for original graphics, maps, and design oversight.
Special Thanks also to TSR, WotC, Judges Guild, Paizo and Troll Lord Games.
Extra Special Thanks to Obsidian Portal for providing this format!

Also – thanks go to the many players and other dungeon masters who have participated in the ongoing development of the Eralfast world setting. Without YOU, this project would not have been possible or so enjoyable. Much gratitude!

-Alias (Bard of Doruth’s Order, Scribe of Eralfast)
